I spent a LOT of time on 'My Arms Your Hearse' before it became my current favorite.
I've spent the least time on 'BWP' simply because I find the album, sorry to say this, boring.
The album I've probably listened most to overall is 'Still Life'. It was locked in my CD player for aeons of infinity and romantic death. Heh.

Orchid and Morningrise have taken me ages to get into...I don't like the way the songs are written in bits and they just stop and go into a completely different section after a bit of silence. They also don't seem as powerful either, I still like them but nowhere near as much as Opeth's more recent stuff...it all seems to flow way better.

All opeth albums except damnation(which isn't a "real" album) took about the same time...

Same hear. I do have to say that I'm starting to dig them a little more now.

To be honest, BWP. MAYH was my first album, and it really took fuck all time. Still Life was instantly likeable, as was Deliverance. Morningrise was tough to enjoy at first, but once I got into the music the time it took to appreciate it seemed irrelevant. BWP, on the other hand, never clicked with me until recently. Some of the songs just seemed *blah*. Then, the overall atmosphere the album attempts to bring out became more apparent, and I therefore began to enjoy the it more.
