I enjoyed that quite a bit. I think that they could stand to amplify the Western elements further. Play up that Ennio Morricone influence that appeared early in the song some more. I glanced at the lyrics on the first album and they seemed pretty blah and unrelated too.

Listening to the new single by Soliloquium (by fellow UM member Stefan86), and it sounds really damn good!

I've never listened to this band despite having been an Opeth fanboy.

You definitely should! I remember only checking out Stupid Dream due to Mikael Åkerfeldt gushing about it back in the day, and I was not disappointed.

SD and LS are my two favourites, but I'd recommend checking out In Absentia, Deadwing and Fear of a Blank Planet as well. I'd also point you towards the first two Blackfield albums if you haven't heard them.

Always liked Brave Murder Day. I listened to The Discouraged Ones and enjoyed it too. I'll eventually explore their discography some more.

Man, early In Flames was so good. That early Melodic Death really captured some magic.

Can't go wrong with their discography pretty much. I think the only album I ever give much of a skip is Dance of December Souls, which I'm guessing is the only one J. is a fan of

Give him some credit. He probably likes Brave Murder Day too.

He's the Yoda of RC: "Always two there are: no more, no less."
