In no particular order, mine are Ayreon - The Human Equation, Michael Pinnella - Enter By the Twelfth Gate, Threshold - Subsurface, and Dead Soul Tribe - The January Tree. Wow..go IO, that label had a nice year for music.

Megadeth - The System Has Failed gets honorable mention as well.

I have to add Ayreon--The Human Equation to my favorite albums list. KsE still has the sentimental edge, but it's clear The Human Equation is the most accomplished album of what I've heard this year. I will be writing a review of it soon, and when that happens, I'll find the Ayreon thread and post it. :)

Have to agree with Katastrophik, about evergrey,

    except ICP sucks......

    as for favorite cds: hmmm.....

Nightwish - Once, Megadeth - The System has Failed, Susperia - Vindication, Beyond the Embrace - Insect Song, Into Eternity - Buried Into Oblivion, Blaze - Blood & Belief, Hypocrisy - The Arrival, Kataklysm - Serenity in Fire, the list goes on.....
