Demanufacture by far, with SoaNM at the 2 spot. I havent listened to Obsolete in over 10 years.

thanks! I thought Mechanized was also pretty solid, and i've enjoyed most of the stuff i've heard from their last two albums albums as well.

This is exactly my answer too.

I remember when 'Demanufacture' came out in 94, there was nothing like it at the time. 14 year old me was like, "It's the future!!!".

Demanufacture is a classic. When I listen to it now, it takes me back to a younger time and brings up some great memories. Great album. Soul of a New Machine is a close second.

Mechanize. Not even close. I could pump iron all day to that shit.

Demanufacture of course. I also love obsolete. Just a few fillers on that one. Hell I even like Digimortal. It has some great tracks (and clunkers), but is still heavy and enjoyable. The last three are good as well with Industrialist being my favorite.

For some reason Im not big on Archetype. Too forced. Sounds fake. Transgression just sucks

Demanufacture, easily. It's a classic record. FF were one of my favorite bands for a long time, back in the day. Obsolete and Soul of a New Machine are great too. For their modern records, Mechanize is actually fucking killer and well beyond all the other recent releases. I don't really even pay attention to the ones without Dino. Good thread...I like talking about FF.

Hmm. I don't find any filler on Obsolete. There's more filler on SOANM (16 tracks?) in my opinion. Fuck it, today I'm gonna blast Obsolete while I drive to work.

That's my order too. Love Demanufacture. Such a killer, cold, guitar tone.

I agree. Digimortal, Industrialist and Mechanize are great albums!

Out of the three I prefer Industrialist. But Digimortal has some catchy tunes and Mechanize is punishing.

    Good picks!
