Note: "Woods 3", though technically 'released' very late in 2007, is to be considered a 2008 album (so put it on NEXT year's list! :heh:). 'W3' WILL be dated as as '2007' in the discography (it took one year to do Woods 1, two years to do Woods 2 and three years to do Woods 3, etc...), but 2008 will be the whole full official year for us to promote it.

So, let's see your lists of what you enjoyed this year!!! I'm still working on mine...

    :kickass:

    In no order:

    Skeletonwitch - Beyond the Permafrost
Wolves In The Throne Room - Two Hunters
    Swallow the Sun - Hope
    Pelican - City of Echoes
Primordial - To the Nameless Dead

    Blut aus Nord - Odinist
Ulver - Shadows of the Sun
    Oakhelm - Betwixt and Between
Novembers Doom - The Novella Reservoir
Between the Buried and Me - Colors

I still need to hear the new albums by Porcupine Tree, Alcest, Shining, Novembre, Deathspell Omega, Drudkh, and Graveland.

In 2008, I'm looking foward to releases by Agalloch, Lurker of Chalice, Opeth, Sculptured, Daylight Dies, and of course, Woods of Ypres.

Dethklok and Megadeth. I wasn't a big fan of the new 3 Inches Of Blood (or the second one), compared to the first one.

2007 has been disappointing for me because I had hoped that Woods III and Wintersuns new CD would be out. This year was really lackluster compared to 2006. So, for me, in no particular order:

    1.Behemoth - The Apostasy
    2.Nile - Ithyphalic
    3.Farmakon - Robin
    4.Swallow The Sun - Hope
5.Vital Remains - Icons of Evil
6.The Morningside - The Wind, The Trees And The Shadows Of The Past
    7.Vintersorg- Solens Rotter
8.Wolves In The Throne Room- Two Hunters
    9. Dark Tranquility - Fiction
    10. Moonsorrow - V: Hävitetty

And a few CD's I was dissapointed in:

    Annihilator - Metal
    Immortal Souls - Wintereich
Arch Enemy - Rise of the Tyrant (With the exception of "Vultures")
    Graveworm - Collateral Defect
Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli

With all that being said, 2008 looks like it's going to be fucking awesome. Possible new Immortal, Agalloch and Vehemence CD's, and scheduled Wintersun, Woods of Ypres and Scar Symmetry CD's.

Midnight: Disappointed in the new Dimmu? I found it surprisingly kickass to be honest. Surprised not a lot of people are mentioning Machine Head. Also, anyone get their hands on the new Limbonic Art? I thought it was kickass. Aaaand does anyone know anything about Agalloch? I've heard lots about an album next year, but are they actually in the studio, or is this just speculation they'll release something?
