YT: Trying out my new Spector bass for my EP

    This will be the third time I've recorded the bass tracks for my EP :lol: I've owned 4 different basses now in the last few months, nothing was quite nailing the tone that was in my head, but I'm pretty dam settled on this one.

    With just a simple EQ'd DI and a separate distorted high end track, it's already got a great aggressive muscular tone that fits the mix really well (albeit way too loud in this video for demonstration purposes)

    Thanks man! Really happy with the way this thing sounds. Bass is such a point of contention for me. I go back and forth on what sort of tones I like forever and ever :lol:

    Cheers guys! Sig chain was one clean track > CLA Bass > Comp
    Distorted track was hi-passed @ 500hz, lo-passed at 4khz, put through Juicy77 pre (4x10)
    Bussed down to a single track, comp'd some more, and limited.

    Man, this sounds great! I love your tone and yeah it fits the mix and the song perfectly! The playing is great too which is a big part of the tone... well done!
