Keep Katagory V Alive

Katagory V Live

Katagory V recorded and completed a new album back in 2011 and they been unable to get it properly released to date. The album is currently titled “Resurrect the Insurgence”, and was produced by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Unisonic, Place Vendome). Currently the fundraiser has raised 50% of the monies needed, with only days left until the end of the campaign.

Katagory V are down to the last couple days of their IndieGoGo campaign, and they need our help Metalheads!

Dustin Mitchell (bassist) responded to a fan question on their Facebook page, when asked, “So, will the band break up?” (if funding was not successful):

If the campaign fails, yes. Katagory V will be no more. Being that $15,000 was already invested into this three years ago, from airfare, studio time, even getting a named producer like Dennis Ward to work on it with us; If we cannot get enough of our fans to contribute such a small amount remaining (by industry standards anyway) to get the album properly released – CD version now, and then digitally after – then that tells us there is little or no interest in the band, thus there is no point in continuing on.

If you are a fan of bands like Fates Warning and Queensryche – what are you waiting for? Help to keep the band alive and head over to the Katagory V IndieGoGo page and select your preferred package.

Old School Metalhead - listening since 1984. I love it all from the hairiest of Hair Metal to the deadliest of Death Metal. Some favorites include King Diamond, Dokken, Symphony X, Pagan's Mind, Opeth, Crimson Glory.
