    Glenn's Top 50 of 2023

Always look forward to this list. There are a few I have yet to pick up that I intended to (The Cryptex, Lovebites, Temic). There are some I was surprised by new albums that I didn't know were out (Cruachan, Karnataka, Riverside), and some that I wanted to look into further (The Anchoret...

    Top 50 albums of 2022

A lot of good stuff here, some of which I hadn't heard of and others I hadn't picked up yet. CKRAFT - Epic Discordant Vision

Just found these guys today. Self described as Gregorian Jazz Metal, it is some pretty wild stuff, with a sax player and an accordion!

    Top 50 Albums of 2021

Maybe not one of the best for the year, but was pretty damn solid prog metal was Within Progress, who had a new release last year.

12/13: Day 2 Roster Announcement: Wilderun confirmed

Gotta say, more excited for Wilderun than I ever was for Darkwater.

    The June 2022 ProgPower USA

I just miss people in general. It has been tough the last 7 years, losing two music festivals and some of the community that I have. ProgPower is one of the few outlets I have left. I've been doing this from the beginning, missing three festivals in that time. The good thing about the June...

    Best of 2021 half-point check

So far, I've only bought two metal albums this year. Haven't listened enough to either to say they are going to be amongst the best this year. Dark Horse, White Horse - S/T Need - Norchestrion

    4/5: ProgPower USA postponement

Disappointing, but not surprising. It would have been a really heavy lift on your part to make it happen this year. You previously mentioned that Beast In Black, which couldn't make it for 2021 after being postponed in 2020, would be confirmed for 2022. Is that no longer confirmed? If it...

DELAIN implodes, only keyboardist/founding member remains

It is pretty clear to me. Everyone except the founding member left the band and he's turning Delain back into the project it was originally. As for the reasons? I'm sure they don't want to air their dirty laundry in public. But, if everyone decided to leave, the disagreement must have been huge.

    BAND-MAID - Unseen World

Really, more need to be said about these gals. They just keep releasing albums of good hard rocking music, and the new album is no exception.

    Top 50 of 2020

Sometimes, what isn't on the list is as telling as what is on the list. Tho, I'm kinda surprised Novena didn't make the list. That being said, I continue to be surprised that the band I posted about a long time ago (Distant Dream) has its third straight album on this list. This coming from...

    Wilderun - Veil Of Imagination

Ran across this, and this song blows me away. Kinda makes me think of a more symphonic Opeth.
