Gotta say, I'm digging the abbreviated format this year. Makes the stuff I'm interested in checking out stand out a bit more and there's a lot of it. Pleasantly surprised at HMLTD popping up here!

I believe they're under new management and are doing renovations. They're completely closed during ProgPower this year.

Saw them a few weeks ago for what I think was their second ever live show. I was shocked by how much they kicked ass. Singer and keyboard player in particular had really fun stage presence. They're gonna kill it! Everyone needs to check these guys out.

So this is a sweet little album that I think deserves way more attention that it's getting. It's very much in the quirky modern prog metal style that Native Construct and Haken are doing right now, but with a bigger emphasis on neoclassical shred. I think it's pretty damn good! Whole album is...

Is there confirmation of this? I saw one venue list them but I have a strong suspicion that it's a mistake. I think Oceans of Slumber is actually the support act.

Venus is a god damn monster of an album. Just non-stop killer grooves and melodies for over 80 minutes.

I love the hell out of the new album. Top ten for sure and it might even be top five.

Stuff I'll definitely be checking out from here: Southern Empire, Fractal Cyber, Utopia, Allegaeon I'm excited, my years been filled with way too much mellow prog rock and not enough high energy prog metal.
