I am working on a MacbookPro 2015 and a Hackintosh. Did it on hardware I already own and it's running absolut stable. Overclocked i7 @4,7Ghz is a beast. Running it on yosemite...it is also my first hack.

Are you able to run that live while mixing? I always print the tracks before I start to mix...most of the time I need to nudge the tracks back a little. Pro Tools + SSD gives me always a little delay.

Just a note to that disuccsion about triggers: If you use protools buy MasseyDrt! Never recorded a trigger again, since I bought that.
