Wearing Scars (for fans of great melodic heavy metal)

I'm not really sure exactly what genre this is in, but its melodic and its heavy, anyway it sounds great. Ex-Mutiny Within's Chris Clancy is on lead vocals. Super catchy stuff.

Raunchy ( dumb name but great melodic death metal)

For fans of Amaranthe and Soilwork, check this out. Mike from the band Intervals is the frontman in this Denmark melodic DM band. I'm not a fan of their band name, but the music kicks a ton of ass. From their new album "Vices. Virtues. Visions."...

Ne Obliviscaris's album Citadel out November 7th!

I am beyond stoked for this album, the track they dropped a couple days ago, is a shorter song, but kicks so much ass. If this is just a taste of what is to come, then I think I peed my pants a little. "Painters Of The Tempest Part II, movement III: 'Curator"...

    Etherna's Forgotten Beholder

Great Power Metal from Italy. Nothing too innovative in the genre, but its a great listen nonetheless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6cJibPyChs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEe_0V-o0xA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvuWBACtz4M

    Falconer's Black Moon Rising

So I guess they're coming out with new stuff, it sounds alright too me. The only complaint I'd have is that the music kinda overshadows the vocals at times. Nonetheless it's pretty good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y595heHNifs

Candlemass ft Alan of Primordial. (live vid)

I love his personal twist on the song, it sounds so evil. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfvdPC99XSs

Moon Safari (Great progressive rock from Sweden)

I just found them today! They're a great modern sounding progressive rock band, but they also have that happy/quirky early Yes sound. Their bandcamp if you want to support them http://moonsafari.bandcamp.com

    Cyril (Fantastic modern progressive rock)

I found about these guys not long ago. The vocalist almost has a Phil Collins vibe about him, but maybe thats just me. Musically, its really fun and well executed.

    Haken- "Atlas Stone"

Brand new track from Haken, from their upcoming album "The Mountain." I really enjoyed this one, it reminds me more of their debut than their last album. If the album is this consistently awesome I am excited.

Structure Of Inhumanity (Members from Suspyre, Pyramaze and Arsis)

I just discovered these guys today, and thought I'd share with you all. Its a mixture of melodic death metal and power metal. From what I have heard so far I'm really enjoying.

New track and video from Extol!

I was pretty sure I made an Extol thread already but I cant seem to find it at all. But anyway here is the track from the progressive death metal masters, in my opinion, Extol. Enjoy guys! Also here is another track they released.

    Cardiant's "Verge"

I haven't kept up with new power metal releases in awhile and thought I should go do some searching, so I found these guys/gal. They hail from Finland and remind me of Celesty and Stratovarius. Very solid, they have a new album and here's a new track to decide if you like it or not...

Blood Ceremony's new album "The Eldritch Dark"

Yet another album to be excited for, it sounds like an expansion from what they released on their Living With The Ancients with a more refined and dynamic structure, at least from what I've heard on this track. They always reminded me of the 70s occult prog rock band Black Widow, just the feel...

Extol reveals new song from their upcoming album!

They're one of the main reasons why I listen to the music I do. They introduced me to death metal and especially the progressive side. Its pretty much the original lineup on this new album, and it sounds great. Its a mid-paced progressive death metal track, that bring me back to when I first...

The Black Dahlia Murder "Into the Everblack"

I'm probably the only person on here who likes these dudes, though I could be wrong. But I thought I'd post their newest track. Its a lot different than their previous albums, it still has that key tbdm sound but its going in the more straight forward death metal sound. It has even a...

In Vain (progressive death metal/black metal)

These guys rule, they hail from Norway and play a style of death metal that has the right hint of progressive elements to put them up there with the best, at least in my opinion. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. And this is from their new album, "Ænigma" Here are a couple of tracks from...

    Fen's "Dustwalker"

These guys hail from the UK as a post rock influenced black metal band. They remind me of Agalloch in some respects, but focusing more on the post rock sounds rather than the neo-folk, like Agalloch is known for. I really enjoy this album, its a great way to start the year for me.
