My wife and I just started a band together and we are doing Devin Townsend stuff, Evanescence, We are the Fallen, Halestorm, Pat Benatar, Heart, Lacuna Coil, etc for covers while working on originals. She and our keyboardist/pianist are doing the above Anneke song which is an old Gathering song...

PAIN OF SALVATION to tour North America with KINGCROW and IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION

I wish they would come down South. It's still weird seeing pictures with a completely different line-up. I can't wait to hear new music from them, I just hope it's better than the last 2, which didn't float my boat very much when everything else beforehand blew my mind.

SOILWORK NA Headline Tour w JEFF LOOMIS, BLACKGUARD and more

I was hoping for Vesta and Whispers and Lights. I talked to Dirk for a while and they are excited to play progpower. I told him the band will have the best time there and he was excited to see some of the bands himself.

SOILWORK NA Headline Tour w JEFF LOOMIS, BLACKGUARD and more

I saw them in Dallas and the sound tighter and better than ever. They played a great setlist, even though there are a couple new songs I wished they would have played plus a couple old tracks. They didn't play anything from Sworn and only played 2 songs pre Natural Born Chaos.

DW Snare Drum for sale, originally owned and signed by Johnny Barbata

I have a 14" DW snare drum for sale, originally owned and signed by Johnny Barbata, who played with numerous classic rock acts such as Jefferson Starship, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Turtles, plus many many more. It is mirror plated chrome with gold hardware. This snare drum sounds fantastic and...

    drum gear for sale

I currently have some gear for sale. I am unfortunately in the position to not play for a while so I am letting go of some of my gear I never wanted to let go. Times are rough and this is all I have to make some much needed extra income. I have 10" and 12" HHX splashes, 14" HHX Stage Hats...

    Korn Dubstep

I am not a huge fan of electronic music at all, but do like some electronics in my music like Sybreed and Mnemic. I am a casual fan of Korn but am really liking this new single a lot.

Revolvermag.com premieres Dystopia from forthcoming Iced Earth album

I love it, can't wait to hear the whole disc. I am a huge fan of Stu and I don't think he sounds like a Barlow copy, but definitely has adapted his voice to Jon's music. His highs sound the best out of all the Iced Earth singers IMO. I hope the rest of the cd includes some of his monstrous...

Machine Head - Unto the Locust

I am obsessed with this song from it. The Locust track is my least favorite song from the disc and this one being my favorite. This song is an anthem and I see it being a huge song for them.

The Ihsahn one actually sounds good, I wish I was there to see that. I love watching live videos on youtube all the time, but it isn't cool to not follow the rules.

    What's left for 2011

This list is in no way in order of my most anticipated, I just went through the list and listed the bands I will be interested in checking out their new discs. The Opeth, Textures, Machine Head, Pain of Salvation(I hope I like part 2 better than the first) and Iced Earth are my most...

First Opeth single released from 'Heritage'

I'm loving it!!! I am a huge Opeth fan and they don't do any wrong to me, especially with Aekerfeldt on vocals! This track also just solidified my opinion of Axenrot as one of the best, if not best, all-around drummers who can do no wrong. He can groove like no other, then blast like a machine.

Iced Earth - Onstage at IlosaariRock 7/16/2011 full concert stremed

I've also been dying to hear Iced Earth with Stu. I keep on imagining the Iced Earth sound with some of his ballsy screams and growls thrown in and am getting very excited.

Ghost: I must be in the extreme minority...

I watched the videos posted and thanks for giving me another band to avoid in any form! The music bored me to tears, they are dressed up but just stand there. I don't see the appeal at all!!!
