Need help with Kemper live setup!

Not sarcastic, the less volume coming off the stage gives me more control over my house mix, especially in a small venue, so direct from kemper with no cab would be great.

Need help with Kemper live setup!

As a FOH guy, I would be as happy as a pig in shit if a guitarist gave me a direct output of his head with no stage volume to affect my mix, especially if it was a smaller place. Your mileage may vary based on the venue/engineer and the quality of the monitors

    Hackintosh?

Why did you have to patch the kernel? For the motherboard/processor?

    Hackintosh?

Yeah that card works natively in mavericks so it's not graphics related.. you do need to use GraphicsEnabler=No in your chameleon boot plist. According to this thread it sounds like you have a bad RAM module. There is a program you can download to test it...

    Hackintosh?

That means your QE/CI (aka native graphics) are not working. What graphics card are you using? And are you on mountain lion or mavericks?

    Hackintosh?

It's super easy to dual boot if you have 2 hard drives. Just install windows to one and OSX to the other, then you can choose which one to boot in chameleon by tapping any key when the bootloader starts. When you say preview isn't working do you mean the application or like pressing space to...

F.O.H. with a laptop +Audio Interface instead of a real mixer

You can definitely do it but it's not ideal. You need a powerful computer to run 16 channels with EQ/comp/gate on each channel, plus 31 band EQ for the outputs. I did it successfully with very low latency (inaudible) but I was using a mac pro, not a laptop. I tried using my macbook pro and got...

    Looking for PA recommendations

Is the budget 900 bucks? I was gonna suggest Yamaha DSR112's.. awesome fidelity at high volume, but just one is 700ish from a dealer. SRM450s, small mixer and a 31 band graphic EQ will probably do you just fine. The older SRM450s are better made, if you can find them.

Internal tom mics for live use?

most of the people I have seen use these.. http://www.dwdrums.com/may/ I do recall seeing one drummer that had paper thin mics that attached to the shell, but I don't recall who they were made by, sounded good though from what I can remember. I'll try and find out.

You need a full frame camera. I can shoot at 6400 all day with minimal noise 3200 is not at all abnormal for concert photography, especially in small clubs with shitty lighting

    The photography thread

It occurs mostly in outdoor stuff where you have subjects against sky, I circled bad areas of chromatic aberration in your above image, I'm sure it's not that noticeable in your original images but your post production and what is done with the saturation makes it immensely worse. It is a...

    Best budget Nearfield Monitors

No, they are 400 new and you can get refurbs direct from Equator for 350. OP, the D5 blow away all the monitors you mentioned and your mixes will thank you http://www.equatoraudio.com/Factory-Refurbished-D5-Studio-Monitors-with-DSP-p/d5-b.htm
