I know there's already a thread, but it's old and I can't fucking find it. I hope you guys can handle that.

My problem is this:
I have all my music in mp3 format on my desktop. I also have a laptop. Both are running Windows 7 and are in a homegroup together, meaning I can wirelessly transfer files between them as long as they're both on. This is pretty cool, by the way. Anyhow, I can play any of the songs on my PC from my laptop as long as they're in range, but I want to have them on my laptop's HD. I can transfer all the files onto it's hard drive but for some reason all the info (album, track number, etc) doesn't make it over when I import them into itunes. Anyone have any advice?

The same problem happens when I transfer music from my iPod back onto my computer. I just go through all of it and manually insert the info back in (which is a pain in the ass, but I think it's the only solution).

...but that's not an option for my entire library. I guess I don't have to use itunes on my laptop.

iTunes blows, that is your problem.
