LYNCH MOB - NEW ALBUM, SUN RED SUN, DUE IN DECEMBER

On December 9th, Lynch Mob will issue their 11th release, Sun Red Sun, via Rat Pak Records. It was written and recorded by the same lineup as the Sound Mountain Sessions EP (Lynch/Logan/Crane/Coogan). Sun Red Sun once again highlights the unique pairing of Oni Logan and George Lynch, showcasing their ever evolving songwriting abilities. Mixed and mastered by Chris "The Wizard" Collier" (Lynch Mob, Lita Ford), Sun Red Sun offers up straight-forward rockers like "Believers Of The Day" and "Play The Game", as well as more groove-oriented cuts like "Erotika" and "Subliminal Dream".

The CD also features a dynamic George Lynch guitar solo track called "Black Waters" as well as an acoustic ballad called "Sun Red Sun", which is a tribute to the late great Badlands singer Ray Gillen. The release also features a cover of Bad Company's "Burnin' Sky" and includes four re-mastered bonus tracks from the original Sound Mountain Sessions EP: "Slow Drag", "World Of Chance", "City Of Freedom" and "Sucka".

An audio teaser has been made available:

Lynch Mob released their new album, Sun Red Sun yesterday.

Update: Just finished listening to it. This is a kick ass album. IMHO its the best one Lynch Mob has ever done. Yes I liked it even better than Wicked Sensation. Track 4 ("Black Waters") was especially good, but really every song on this album is strong.

Here are some of the places you can buy it:

I saw Lynch Mob when they came through Nashville a couple of years ago at the state fair. There was no advertisement that they were gonna play, and so no one knew they were going to be there. Luckily I found out about it from the Lynch Mob twitter feed. So there were like, 50 people there and the whole band put on a kick ass show. Afterwards they hung out at a table and signed everybody's stuff. All of them great people. No attitudes or anything. Just cool musicians who are good at what they do.

This is the only video from the show that I know about:

Well lets not get out of control, Wicked Sensation is their best but that is just my opinion. That being said I have listened to this album Red Sun Red 5 times since yesterday and I really really like it, it is a very good album. Oni isnt on par as he was on Wicked but he is back and that is a great thing and he does sound very good on most of the songs. I do not care of Erotika or the instrumental but the songs are very Lynch Mobby and thats a great thing. I read today they are going to release another album is spring? Very cool!
