“The book is awesome. I read it in two days.”—Glenn Harveston, ProgPower USA

Besides Glenn, have others around heard of this book? The author is Jeff Wagner, who used to write for Metal Maniacs and now is involved with The End Records.

And the radio show, Used Bin Radio, is a cool music talk show, mostly discussing progressive rock and metal, every Tuesday evening 7pm-10pm (Pacific Time).

So Jeff's going to be a guest on their show tomorrow evening, February 1st. It should be cool to see what he has to say, and all the research he did in writing this new book.

Amazing book! Jeff did an unbelievably thorough job on representing everything prog. A little dangerous though...it made me start going to eBay and other places to find some of the music he talks about in there. Highly, highly recommended!!

Excellent book. Like Pellaz said, people on this forum will recognize a lot of the names in this book!!

Got this book for Christmas. It's a well written and well thought out book, with a pretty accurate history of Progressive/Metal as we know and enjoy. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves this style of music to gain insight into the history of it. Jeff Wagner has done an kickass job. :kickass:

I have it, but it is still sitting in my "to read in the future when I have time" pile, which unfortunately gets larger by the month. :)

I just ordered a copy for myself yesterday. Once I'm finished reading my umpteenth Terry Pratchett novel, I'm going to dig into this.

Stay metal. Never rust.

Great book, highly recommended.
I bought and read it last year as well. I gave Jeff a hard time on Facebook for leaving out King's X. It was all in good fun though.
