Don Kirshner passed.... Just found out today..... (Rock Concert) he was 76..
wow rememmber his show late at night in the 70s..... ( dont lie Sal, you watched it... so did Ken)

Most important thing he did in my humble opinion is give us the band Kansas.

I'll never forget seeing Black Sabbath playing "Hole in the Sky" on his show in the 70's. It totally freaked me out.

I have also seen some Old Kansas footage from Don's show, recently. They are definately one of my top 70's prog bands.

My favorite DK concerts from way back where when Rush had it's first album out...and even better is when he had Mahogany Rush from the Child Of Novelty era...timeless stuff...or how about UFO...and a teenage Schenker doing Rock Bottom.
