UNDEROATH

I like them, but I'm probably in the minority here. I enjoy their older stuff more, specifically their first two albums from when they were still unsigned. It's kind of a weird description, but it's almost like they were a black metalcore band, if that makes sense. Their first album, The Changing of Times, was good but more of a step in the metalcore direction. After that, they kicked out their vocalist because he wanted to be more evangelical (they're a Christian band) but the rest of the band wanted to be less evangelical and more mainstream. They then decided to get a new vocalist for They're Only Chasing Safety and while I enjoy this album, it's nowhere near as good as their old stuff. It is sort of generic and sounds just like the other screamo bands out there. Their new album is better, though.

No interest in this band here. :( . I can really hear the generic aspect of their latest album (And catchiness too), whenever I'm forced to hear it. I hear older is better, but their style I just have no interest in. Start from the beginning, if you're interested!

I only like one song by them and thats "until the sun sleeps" or w/e its called. That song is done very well, keyboards and everything. of course that has the old singer who is a hell of a lot better, and its almost 6 minutes long which makes me feel right at home.

18 year bump...
