After some serious soul-searching, White Willow and singer Sylvia Erichsen have decided to part ways. The whole thing is very amicable, and something we have given a lot of consideration. Sylvia is an amazing singer, and she has loved her time in White Willow (since 1998, no less), but she feels that she needs to explore other aspects of her singing, seeing as her first love has always been jazz. White Willow, on the other hand, have been gradually moving in a somewhat heavier direction and need a singer comfortable with that area. With “Storm Season” Sylvia delivered her best work to date with the band, and it is a proud legacy to leave. White Willow’s new singer is Trude Eidtang. She is an incredibly talented singer and a seasoned performer – who knocked everyone off their feet at her debut concert with the band. Her influences range from Tori Amos and Annie Lennox to Pink Floyd and Queensryche. We welcome her to the fold, and wish Sylvia the best of luck with her endeavours!

Maybe a new singer will inspire the band to get a new record out quicker. The four year wait between Sacrament and Storm Season was too long. I fuckin' love this band no matter what personel changes take place.
