What are some good frequencies to boost on a kick for more bass? All i seem to hear is clicking, theres not really any low end that stands out in my mix. Im not sure if my bass guitar its fighting the kick or if my kick is just weak.

I just got a 31 band EQ for my englE530 rack, is it normal to turn the faders all the way down on say frequencies 20-80hz for a high pass and 10k and above? I know when i record i do this with the hpf and lpf but i dont know if people do it on their racks?
