My take on Devin Towsend's Lucky Animals (music video)

Thank you all. The camera was Panasonic Lumix GH2 with 14-42 (kit lens) and Nikkor 50mm.

My take on "Lucky Animals" music video

Hi. I already posted this on Andy Sneap forum (where I'm a regular) but I suppose it's no harm if I'll post this here as well. Some of you may know Devy asked people to send in videos with performances for his Lucky Animals song. Since I do music videos from time to time and I wanted to test...

My take on Devin Towsend's Lucky Animals (music video)

Some of you may know Devy asked people to send in videos with performances for his Lucky Animals song. Since I do music videos from time to time and I wanted to test some new gear I went little beyond that and I created my own. And here it is... It's mostly for people who enjoy campy stuff (in...

    hardware speaker sim for monitoring

Thanks guys. Radial I'm sure is great but it would be a waste of money for monitoring purposes. Behringer seems reasonable. Looking in DI-boxes with speaker sims I also found this Harley Benton unit. http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_pocket_guitar_di_box.htm Seems to be similar to...

    hardware speaker sim for monitoring

Thanks! Yeah, looks great and I love that it's passive but Thomann.de doesn't have it so it might be hard to buy in Europe... Any alternatives? I would look myself but it doesn't seem like there's a name for the type of this device.

    hardware speaker sim for monitoring

I want to give the drummer in my band a better monitoring system. He already has a small mixer which he uses to amplify the metronome. I could give him line out from bass amp and vocals. Guitars are more tricky since I would like to avoid miking the amps and use line out / effect send. Therefore...

Nihil Quest gives you the finger

This is how my band Nihil Quest published the album (our LP is a free download BTW). It's actually a reference to one of our songs. For a better look check out this video:

Nihil Quest - Chemical Saviour [video]

Here's my second music video for Nihil Quest. It's mostly animated but there's some live action as well. Jaymz from our forum played the second solo in this song. Get the (full length) album here, it's free: http://jamendo.com/en/album/101763 or from our website: www.nihilquest.com...

X-RATED MUSIC VIDEO that I made!! (strippers and brains on the wall <3)

I see nothing x rated here... Bad side: Some shots at the beginning are weak (guy in a room with a guitar) in comparison to the rest, the bands is sometimes not in sync with audio. Other than that: YEAH!!! I made it to the end which is rare nowadays. Really fun and well made.

Forum Dio Tribute Members Please Read!

Funny, I wouldn't be surprised if Wendy doesn't even know about this. Someone with good English should drop an email to TorrentFreak because that's the sort of copyright trolling they write about all the time (please! anyone?). I mean, can you imagine more heartless thing done to the fans than...

band dudes: how much would you pay or have paid for cover art?

Wow, Derek is horrible... Check this out: http://derek.server311.com/riggsart/Pages/vitalij.dir/front.html http://derek.server311.com/riggsart/Pages/vitalij.dir/back1.html Can you imagine this guy walking around and talking about how he got the Iron Maiden guy to make his album cover?

Nihil Quest - free hard rock / metal LP for download

I have released a full length album from my band Nihil Quest. It's mostly heavy metal, hard rock with thrash, industrial and blues influences (depending on a song). There are two guests from our forum on this album - Jaymz AKA The Shred in "Chemical Saviour" (this song is actually a...

    Megadeth - Th1rt3en

To me this is their best album since Cryptic or Youthanasia. I waited so long for stuff like this... I love the mix as well. It's more old school, not so harsh like Endgame. It fits them very well.

Volume out of phones ~100db (actual), vocal track 20dbfs louder than anything else...

Reverb / delay on vocal track sometimes tends to help, just don't make it subtle, make sure he can hear it.

    Dio Tribute on line... apparently

Jason, it seems that Backstage Forum is empty (almost 0 posts everywhere). I didn't know there was any activity there. If it's just hidden for unregistered users I think it's a mistake, because that's what discouraged me from registering. Shit, so I really DID missed the thread... I even did...

    Dio Tribute on line... apparently

I checked out Backstage Metal page and what do you know - Dio Tribute is on line. The old thread has been closed and I don't think I missed a new one so it seems it went on line in a rather quiet way. So... everybody... get this on your facebook pages and stuff... I don't think we need to be...

Check our first official live video! MORTON - Brotherhood of Light

This is a really good job but it's bit confusing. This style of editing of video is good for a regular video but not for a live video. As someone mentioned, the music sounds very much like studio. In the end you have something that doesn't look or sound like a live video. You might as well have...

Please help quick, can I carrying guitar on airplane?

Yeah, the food is maybe cheaper but the gear is more expensive than in USA (and Canada probably).
