Albums that stand the test of time.

A lot of the ones I'd mention have been listed.. I may reiterate.

These are just albums that I own as well..

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon/Wish You Were Here

Opeth - Morningrise/Still Life (they have more of a timeless quality to them, the others may feel dated while still maintaining their "fucking awesomeness")

TooL - Aenima (Too soon to tell if Lateralus will stand)

Massive Attack - Mezzanine

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie

NIN - Pretty Hate Machine/The Downward Spiral/The Fragile (never got the credit it deserved)

Radiohead - The Bends (Street Spirit, all the way)

Metallica - Ride the Lightning

Type O Negative - October Rust/Bloody Kisses

You know what's sad.. I can't think of any more in my collection that will be remembered as anything in a few years.. maybe even by me. I'll always have the whole Opeth collection, all the TOOL, and I plan to fill out my Floyd set.. But really.. a lot of the stuff I used to listen to I grew out of.. and the same could very well happen again.

Ho hum.. time for some more Opeth

Black Sabbath - All the Ozzy-era albums minus "Technical ecstasy", with the exclusion of two songs. Also the ones with Ronnie James Dio in the ranks are ageless heavy metal classics.

Opeth - Still life, Blackwater Park.

Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, Det Som Engang Var.

Arcturus - La Masquerade Infernale.

Fields of the Nephilim - The Nephilim, Elizium, Earth Inferno.

Amorphis - Elegy.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire.

Deep Purple - Machine Head.

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King, Red, Lark's Tongues in Aspic, etc.

Bo Hansson - The Magician's Hat. I have just acquired the album and I have to say that it is truly captivating music!

The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks.

CMX - Aura, Aurinko, Discopolis.

Genesis - Selling England by the pound, etc.

King Diamond - Them.

Rush - Moving Pictures.

Joy Division - Closer, Still.

Ulver - Everything.

Led Zeppelin III, IV.

Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse, Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk.

Ozzy Osbourne - The Blizzard of Ozz.

Massive Attack - Mezzanine.

Diamanda Galás - Everything.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Murder Ballads.

The list is practically endless.

Metallica - Master of Puppets

Slayer - Reign in Blood

Ozzy - Diary of a Madman, Blizzard of Oz

Opeth - MAYH
