Is that one any like his new one, "Rhythm of Time"? If yes, I definitely won't be getting it. Nice and impressive and stuff, but I don't feel any long-term fascination there.

Rhythm of Time is technically cool but you're right to say that it gets kinda dull. He wrote it in like a week. However, that is not indicitive of the other solo material, as Feeding the Wheel is simply ridiculous and so well arranged. I could listen to that CD forever. I haven't heard the Petrucci/Rudess collaboration yet, but if they took their time I'm sure it's fantastic.

it was recorded live and the majority of it was improvised
