Death Metal

It sounded a whole hell of a lot like their first one to me, but it was slightly lacking in the epic department, which is what made the first one as good as it was. There were moments of brilliance on the new one, but overall it was just a really solid album.

I agree with your assessment.

Anyone got some good tech death recs/osdm(old bolt thrower or that huge list in that Classic Albums thread--but other than those donwloaded a bunch thanks again whoever that was :kickass:/prog-death(newer bolt thrower/late death)/anything like Scythe :kickass:

I feel like buying some shit from Deathgasm again, maybe some blind buys or w/e idk good online shop

FYI

I took the liberty to sacrifice my time and my eyesight to decipher the utter fucking chicken scratch that is the lyrics sheet for Miasma's Changes. I posted the lyrics on metal-archives for all to enjoy and read along. I'm very confident that it's nearly 100% accurate, though some of it was quite tough to figure out.

I actually was the first to update the lyrics page for Changes partially(only two tracks). Couldn't bear to read that shit any longer.

I highly fucking recommend everyone check out Acid Witch (who have the same vocalist from Phlegethon and more recently, Vacant Coffin and Hooded Menace). It's like psychedellic death/doom with a horror vibe. Really killer stuff!

I like this; thanks. The vocalist sounds alot like Antti Boman (as well as the vocalist from Thergothon), which is a plus in my book.

It appears they haven't been 'metal-archived' yet, nor put on rateyourmusic.com, so they must be new.

And much appreciation, Dodens, for putting up the Miasma lyrics... the epic monster that is "Schizophrenia" has some clever lyrics, just like I thought it would.

Yeah, I couldn't find Miasma's lyrics anywhere except for the Love Songs EP and the two songs that DarkBliss mentioned that he did (I only made one or two changes to those lyrics from what I remember btw, DB), which was the reason for my motivation. What I did come across in my search was an old UM thread started by GoD reviewing Changes, and there was some discussion about how difficult they were to read.

I heard about 4-5 songs from the new Deicide and I like them, specifically In The Eyes of God, I'd stream the whole album on Deicide's MySpace but I don't have the connection to do it, so I've been hearing the new songs on XM Radio on my TV.

I listened to the whole thing on they're Myspace page, and I think it's the worst album by the band ever! Glen changed his lyrics theme from war with God to war with his ex wife, and fu**ed the whole thing up. I will give it another listen just to be fair, but I'm reall glad I didn't blind buy this.

How is the Nunslaughter - Radio Damnation reissue?

I'm not normally one for live albums, but this looks interesting. It also seems like a good way to get my hands on many tracks from Hell's Unholy Fire [unobtainable].

 fuck that. I've only ever bothered to read the lyrics for 'Baphomet'. After that it's actually painful.

Everyone should listen to Disaffected - Vast. Masterful atmospheric tech Death.

But Glen said his lyrics always have double meanings, dating back to Carnage In tHe Temple of The Damned, which is a reference to Jim Jones.

DEATH DEATH DEATH

The best that was Church Bizarre has now been put into the grave.
Reasons are many and shall for now remain among the core of the band.
The final release will be a 7”EP entitled “The Liberating Darkness” containing 3 studio tracks recorded during late 2007. Also scheduled is a 32 track double CD set containing the 3 new 7”EP tracks, the “Evoked or Not – Evil Will Come” 7”EP, the debut demo as well as numerous live songs and bonus tracks. Hells Headbangers will unleash both of these releases during 2008.

Darker things are yet to come
