Hey guys, new here, so sorry if this is the wrong place/I'm breaking some rules, but I'm recording a demo with my band, and all I have to record with at home is my Steinberg UR22 since I'm missing a cab for my rig and my bass player doesn't want to lug his rig over here just to lay down some tracks.
Anyways, long story short, I got some plug-ins for my guitar that sound GREAT, but I'm having a hard time getting a sound I'm happy with from the bass. I've tried splitting the track into 2, and putting a high-pass and low pass on one w/ distortion and relying on the clean one for most of the bottom end. However it still feels like something is missing. Any suggestions for plug-ins to throw on the bass?
I'm a total newbie with mixing a whole band, and so far have only done guitar + Addictive Drummer tracks for my own personal demos. So any comprehensive guides that you know of would be welcomed as well. Thanks a lot in advance!!!
