I have seen Best album by each band but I think best song is new. I wont jump in on this one however. I always have a hard time picking favorites. Can never pick just one or even two. Especially from most of the bands at this line up.

Great choice on the Vanden Plas song. It's not my favorite, but definitely in my top five and highly underrated. If they play that live I will be completely beside myself.

Vanden Plas - A toss between "Scarlet Flower Fields" and "Nightwalker" both from the "Beyond Daylight" CD.

SX - Accolade II. A great song with great vocals.... hell great everything except guitar tone. Romeo is a great technician, but his tone is dry and monaural (sp?)

Rage - "Down" I know very little about these guys and when I first heard the song, I wasn't very impressed because the vocalist isn't great, but in some ways like their German brethren, Accept, they play vivid "in your face" music that is so good, it gives you enough time to deal with the vocals. They make a lot of noise for only three members.

Redemption - "Something Wicked This way Comes." This band will be the surprise band of PPIV. They are simply a really good band. They will turn heads at the show.


The rest of the bands I don't care for, but that's not to say they aren't quality bands. Evergrey is a a very unique band and I can understand their good following, but they simply aren't my bag. Nightwish has a nice keyboard player and a cool fem operatic vocalist.
