GMD Poll: Top Ten Albums of 1999

1) Runemagick - Enter the Realm of Death
2) Iniquity - Five Across the Eyes
3) Sodom - Code Red
4) Adramelech - Pure Blood Doom
5) Monstrosity - In Dark Purity
6) Testament - The Gathering

Could only come up with 6 for this year. First two are absolutely fantastic albums, but the rest are kind of meh.

*Note: I never actually played Soul Reaver, though I kinda wish I did.

I’m in the process of tallying the results. It’s the last week before summer so it’s a busy time. I’ve collated most of them and hope to post results soon.

Feel free to add your list if you haven’t posted one yet, but please don’t edit any lists if you’ve already posted one.

I believe Ozz was actually pining for the glorious year of 1993.

We already did '92 though.

We did? I need to pay better attention but we have so fucking many of these now.

edit: almost 18 months ago like I can remember that on request

No but 1989 through 1993 is probably the greatest period for metal tbh

edit: Peeked at 1993 and yeah what a fabulous year
