Ill get straight into it. I use Cubase 5 FWIW. Every time I try to import something (other than shit like MIDI) into my session, they are like at double the speed than they should be and obviously higher in pitch as well. I have no idea how to fix this. They are not tied to the tempo or anything like that so im at a loss for words here. Anybody have any idea whats causing this?

Wrong sampling rate.
Sampling rate of the project doesn't match imported files.

could be a sample rate problem make sure your source files and project settings are the same sample rate if cubase doesnt convert during import this could cause an issue similar to this

My sample rate is 48000.00 hz and I cant change it......soooo im just fucked then?

I fucking love you. Thanks for the input guys I finally got it going. I cant believe I forgot to convert upon importing. Its been a loooooong night.
