IMO:

Not the best Slayer album and not the best Metal Church album

Reign in Blood is definitely not Slayer's best album. It's probably their third best.

The Dark is the one I prefer of the first two albums. I actually have it on vinyl and not CD because I saw it at a record store randomly and picked it up because of the cult status haha!

Haha, I came here to comment that my math was incorrect! I was born in 1984 so I was almost 3 when it came out. I will be 32 in March.

Reign in Blood is one of those iconic albums for me, as it was my first introduction to extreme metal all those years back, and also my first Slayer album. I cant put it above Hell Awaits or Show no Mercy though.

I remember both of these wonderful albums being released. A dude on the school bus handing over his Walkman earphones telling me I had to hear this new album by Metal Church and hearing Start The Fire. My parents had bought into Tipper Gore's PMRC bullshit and destroyed Reign In Blood twice before I got smart and disguised the tape.
