Well, Marillion called themselves after Tolkien's Silmarillion.

I know theres a band called Morgoth out there (First Dark Lord from The Silmarillion)

There's a band called Gorgoroth also. (I think it's the name of the mountain range or maybe a plateau in Mordor.)
