Metal in Thailand

How's the metal scene in Thailand - specifically Bangkok? What about clubs or gigs?

Do bands from the US or Europe ever stop to play in Bangkok during their world tours?

Thai food and beer - is there anything better?

Has anyone heard the Thai grindcore band called "ChickenKilla Amran"? I think they're quite popular in India.

ChickenKilla Amran is just awesome. They use such heavy guitar crunches in their music, but the vocals by Ugh are just awesome! They have a new album which is coming out soon called 'Raped at Birth' and here are the title tracks,

1. Sodomise Thy Neighbour
2. Empty Glass
3. Virgo-Intacto
4. Raped at Birth
5. Gorsh Hudee
6. Nail in the Coffin
7. Wet Incontinence
8. Fight for the Dhaal
9. The Hounds of Budaboo
10. Nak-de-chewa

I think this was due for release middle of April.

anyway,chickenkiller amran is a grindcore band??what influence they come from??

ChickenKilla Amran are pretty good. Not really grindcore as such, but more Goregrind or PornoGrind. Influenced by Birdflesh, and I think they've supported Lord Gore somewhere.

It's quite a unique sense of grind though - dark and ripping, yet subtle influences of ancient India. You know - following suit of the whole "Kali Ma" thing. The bass player looks like Om Puri from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Temporarily located somewhere in Bangkok apparently.

P.S. They refer to their Raped at Birth as a sequel to Butchered at Birth by CC.

I've heard that Malaysian Metalcore band, Blind Tribe will be playing in Thailand with Heretic Angel but I'm not sure with the date.

Best Band I heard from thailand is DONPHEEBIN - these guys killzzzzz, in thai language though
