Progpower scared of Virgin Steele?

At their New York show in December, we asked Dave Defeis if Virgin Steele had ever been considered to play Progpower. His response "No, I think they're scared of VS down there". Naturally, he was saying this in jest...However...I'm surprised that they haven't been considered to date. I saw them three times last year and they are far and away one of the best live acts I've ever seen.

I'm scared at the prospect of "Manowar-with-brains" performing at ProgPower as well.

I attempted to contact David for PP 2.0. I was able to get in touch with his management in Europe, who gave me his direct email address. Guess what? He never bothered to reply.

Thus, that does tend to downgrade my desire to book a band.

Thats sad to hear he is a liar. I have really enjoyed some of his work. But I guess saying "yeah, they contacted me, but like a dumbass I ingored it and lost a chance to play with some the worlds best power metal bands, oops really dropped the ball on that one"
