Redundancy

Hey guys, just a little over two months ago the company I work for informed my department (14 of us) that our jobs will be gone by the end of October.
Luckily, I will get a nice bit of money which will clear all of my debts and leave me money to get some lovely new gear!
I went for a job position within the company and was informed today that one of my co-workers got the job instead. I'm pissed off. I trained this fucking guy in!
Anyone else found themselves in similar shitty situations?

The trick is to keep the best tricks of your job to yourself. That way the new guy will not be as good as you, and they'll usually elect to keep you.

I wish I could - but they job we went for was in a different department, our department's work is going to IBM in India...!
