Reversed Reverb effect!

Does anyone know how to do an effect of the reversed reverb? Esterday my client said, that he want to copy Ozzy's vocal effect from Ozzmosis album (song is called Tomorrow). But I don't have a clue how to do this!

What you can do is copy the section you want reverse reverbed, put it on a new track under the existing one, reverse it in your DAW (should be an option to do it) and then process it 100% with reverb. That way you'll have reverse verb underneath the dry track and can mix in as much as you want.

That's if I'm understanding what you want to do, correctly.

Just listen to Ozzy's Tomorrow song. I tried to do the same way you wrote. It sounds different. Maybe there is any other way?

The way I was familiar with is pretty much Moonlapse's method. Id start a new project and load the files you want to reverse verb on into it. Reverse the files, put your verb on, bounce them off, then load them into a new project and flip em back.

There is no need to make new projects for such a simple effect

1) Cut the part that you want to effect into a new track (it can be anything, as long as it's audio)
2) Reverse the new track
3) Write a reverb effect into the actual sound - do not add it as an post-effect like you would normally, for example in Cubase/Nuendo: right-click on the audio, go to Plugins | Reverb and add as much reverb as you want (you will want a little more than normal)
4) Now, reverse the new track once more and there you go
