Riley Gale, Singer for Thrash Metal Band Power Trip, Dead at 34

What a shame..

Saw these guys last year with Creeping Death and High on Fire. Was one of the best live performances I've seen, and even though they didn't headline, they totally stole the show.

Fuck man, I woke up to this news today. I haven't been hit by a piece of news like that since Lemmy's death. They've been one of the most important modern thrash bands; they've influenced numerous newer bands. His vocals are incredible. What a loss... I still cannot believe it. Glad I managed to see them live, but I was supposed to see them again this Fall. Sadly, it's not going to happen. Wondering what's next for Power Trip...

Also, the cause of his death is still not known. I'm really curious about that, although perhaps I should check my curiosity in this case.

I've never really listened to Power Trip but I've seen how important this band was for many people. It's awful. I don't know much about the band or Riley, but I adore this video.
