maybe there already was one. i dunno.

anyway i just finished Rule of the Bone by Russel Banks. he writes his teenage protagonist really really well - and writes a complex character well - at times the plot got a little kitchen-sinky for me - but the narrative voice and the characters are compelling enough I tend not to care

it was no Sweet Hereafter but that's asking a bunch, IMO

I started the 4th Harry Potter book last night. Also I'm working my way slowly through A Sand County Almanac and will probably start on the last Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy book this week.
