Is this CD worth getting just for the new stuff? I have all three of the Dio albums already, although my copy of Dehumanizer is just a burn copy, not legit.

I think I can still order the version with DVD, but I really wonder if I'd watch a 30 min DVD more than once anyway.

Anyway, are the new songs and the packaging worth $11 or whatever?

I'm not getting it. I changed my mind when I found out the DVD was only 30 minutes.

With or without the DVD it's a good buy.

I think the dvd is a little longer. It occupied an hour on VH1 Classic, so it's probably more like 40-45 minutes, I would guess. I could be wrong about that though.

The remastered versions of the stuff from H&H and Mob Rules is worth the $11 alone. Those songs sound great.

I agree. Also, if you're a Dio fan the 3 new songs are worth a listen because they are very Dio-esque as opposed to Sabbath-esque. I also own Heaven and Hell, Mob Rules and Dehumanizer but I still bought "The Dio Years". I'm not disappointed.

My burned copy from the VH-1 Classic without commericials with video clips is 52 minutes.
The DVD that came with my Dio Years cd= 30 minutes.

I doubt I'll buy this. The three new songs are excellent, but not worth the price of a "best of" that is sorely missing Sign of the Southern Cross and Country Girl.

I did however give a chunk of money to see Heaven and Hell live in concert and got my money's worth in spades.

I'll also be first in line for a pre-order on the debut Heaven and Hell studio album that I expect to be out sometime in 2008. The demand is there, Iommi probably has riffs coming out of his ass every time he eats chili, and Dio can still hold his own as a senior citizen and true Grandfather of heavy metal. It's a no-brainer from my view.

I've searched on line for this VH1 show about ten times and always come up with NOTHING.

What's it called exactly (the exact title)? What channel? VH-1 Classic?

Here's the site for the channel:

Here's the Wal-Mart site for the CD/DVD combo:

You might want to book mark this site these upcoming airings of Rock Related appearances and shows:

It's only $9.99 at Wal-Mart. (Without the bonus DVD)
True, but I would only listen to it for the three new songs. I'm not interested in a best of unless it has ALL my favorite songs on it (which probably explains why I own so FEW greatest hits albums). It's easier for me to just make my own "best of" since I already own all the Sabbath w/Dio albums and already have mp3s of the new songs.

Sixxswine, you are a the man!

I think the problem, however, is that my cable provider doesn't get VH1 Classic. So I'm screwed. Oh well.

The "rock related appearances" link is interesting. I'll have to keep my eye on that.

Those 3 new songs rock!!! Closer to "Dehumanizer" and late Dio material than "Heaven&Hell" or "Mob Rules", but still worth hearing.
And what a sound!

Not bad for bonus tracks written in a hurry :)

Get it for the three new songs because two of them are really good.

But don't buy it for the DVD because it is an edited/cut down version of the VH1 special. And more importantly, because Eddie Trunk is a buffoon of Jupiter-like proportions. He has those three guys in front of him and he just keeps talking like a moron for about 27 of the 30 minutes.
