non-metal albums spotted = fail

 Nice to see this place hasn't changed!

@Mike, yeh I was surprised at the variety as well. And the fact that there is no real conventional doom or death metal, and only a little bit of thrash. I need more beer I guess. :err:

it is a good list, i love a lot of things on that list (but kayo dot is total pinkage, i know this without ever having heard them because i'm a guy who knows stuff)

strange in stereo is so underrated by everyone

i need to buy fleurety

i hate devin townsend because he has a really stupid beard

probably another line of text here

strange in stereo is so underrated by everyone

Nearly started a thread on it today in fact. It was the inspiration for me even compiling this list. NOTHING about this album sounds forced, transcends genre, Pink Floyd, blah blah... Have you ever noticed how noticeable the low end is? Makes the walls shake every time I put it on.

^yeah I find myself overlooking it a lot as well. For a while about 3 years ago I listened to "Generally More Worried Than Married" at least once a day. Other than that, it really kindo of lacks a song that gets me excited when I put it on.

It's an album that draws introspection from the listener. Same goes for Anathema's Eternity, Alternative 4, and Antimatter's Planetary Confinement. These recordings bring to question where you've been and where you wish to go.

Anathema's just another one of a long listof great bands who never made a 10/10 masterpiece, along with Black Sabbath, Savatage, Katatonia (BMD debatable), etc etc

min tid skal komme and terria are such amazing records.

i still cant get into strange in stereo. it simply does not compare to the previous two outings.

that weakling album just drones on too long for me.

Tales from the 1000 lakes....my very first DM album :kickass:

im not sure i could even come up with 25 to make a list at this point tbqfh...

i was just gonna post this

too much other music to explore, metal still gets played every day but not nearly as much as 2-5 years ago.

np: fripp & eno - no pussyfooting
(never heard this before, very nice!)
