What's your metal supergroup?

If it's a thrash group then -

James Hetfield (Pre Load era) - Vocals
Charlie Benante - Drums
Scott Ian - Rythm Guitar
Dave Ellefson - Bass
Kirk Hammet (again Pre Load) - Lead Guitar

That would be pretty nice I think.

Not to be a total ass- but I am one; There already has been a number of thrash supergroups: Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica, Testament, Dark Angel, Kreator, Sepultura. Each one of these bands were comprised of some of the best musicians the thrash scene ever had. With the exception of Clemente the early drummer of testament, Tom Araya's non-existent bass, Mustaines nasal voice( which i kinda of like), lars ulrichs ego, and the horrible production found on Dark Angel's albums, each one of these bands were a supergroup. Hell Testament and Slayer are still going strong, and Kreator put out a damn good album a few years ago.

ha, heres my group

drums: igor calvalera
bass: david ellefson
guitars: jeff hanneman and kerry king
vox: mille petrozza(sp) from kreator

man........that would be most excellent.

Vocals: Don Doty (Dark Angel)
Guitar: Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)
Guitar: Scott Ian (Anthrax, SOD)
Bass: Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Sadus, Iced Earth, Death, Vintersorg, Dragonlord, Control Denied)
Drums: Marquis Marky (Coroner)

hmmm...I agree that Testament are still going strong (The Gathering ruled) and Kreator(Violent Revolution kicked ass as well), but Slayer.....I dunno.....Diablos In Musica sucked and God Hates Us All was just downright horrible, In my opinionated opinion.

Vocals: Tom Angelripper (Sodom)
Guitar: Jeff Hanneman (Slayer)
Guitar: Scott Ian (Anthrax)
Bass: Rob Yahn (Dark Angel)
Drums: Dave Lombardo (Slayer)

Dawn Crosby (RIP) - vocals
Ian Tafoya aka Greg Fulton - rhythm guitar
Tommy T. Baron - rhythm & lead guitar
Doug Keyser - bass
Rick Colaluca - drums

The obvious, easy one:

Early James Hetfield, vocals/guitar
Dave Mustaine, guitar
Cliff Burton, bass
Dave Lombardo, drums

Modern thrash:

David DiSanto (Vektor), vocals/guitar
Conan Gonzalez (Exmortus), guitar
Andre Hartoonian (Hexen), bass/backup vocals
Pete Webber (Havok), drums

Vocals: Snake/Voivod
Lead Guitar: Tommy Vetterli/Coroner
Rythm Guitar: Mike Scaccia/Rigor Mortis
Bass Guitar: Steve Reynolds/Demolition Hammer
Drums: Dave Lombardo/Slayer

I think that would even work combining these muscians
