PMF, what are Arabesque & Heaven's Cry like?

Arabesque is a prog metal band from Holland. They have 2 female vocalists. One has a higher, more "angelic" voice... and one has a lower, grittier, smoky voice. The music is quite complex and creative. Arabesque used to be a jazz fusion ensemble before turning metal, so they throw in some neat jazzy stuff and other unexpected stuff. Only problem is the weak production.

Heaven's Cry is from Quebec, Canada. They straddle the border between prog-rock and prog metal. They do some insanely technical stuff, but also some great acoustic songs.

Thank you very much! I'll probably have to check them out!

John, it's only 50 CDs.... :D
50 x 20 € a piece = ~1000 €
Holy shit...!
Thinking of all the beer I could have bought with that... :p

only problem are the two female vocalists :p ;) (I'm not too fond of females doing all the singing)

20 € a piece
holy shit! Did you round the price for an easier calculation? Or is that the real price up there? Damn, I knew Northern Europe is expensive but that's an insane price (hehe...insane prices for insane ppl :p )
Seriously, it got more expensive over here as well but 18 € is usually the highest mark.

The prices do vary a little. It depends where you buy it.
At cheapest the new ones are 16 € and at the most expensive 21 €. But the most usual price is I'd say 19-20 €. Expensive, I know.

I just ordered the new Vintersorg (I'll probably get some applaud for this :D )and Battlelore for 32 € from an online store that has somewhat reasonable prices.

I'm not insane. A bit weird maybe but not insane. :D

(admit it, my steady NP made you order some Vintersorg..?)
I really hope you'll like it :hotjump: Is it your first contact with Vintersorg (except the stuff he did with Havayoth)? Beware, that man is addicting :D And there's so much stuff coming our way in 2003 :)

I have listened to the "Till Fjälls" and "Ödemarkens Son" albums earlier a few times through but I don't remember much.

You listening to it ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME probably had something to do with it. :p and I read a few praising reviews.

So he'll release some new stuff this year also?

:saint:
mr V is one of the busiest men I know (another would be Dan Swanö).....Before his last effort was even released he already knew the title for the upcoming album and had a huge part already written. I don't know when and how he does all that but a new Vintersorg and Borknagar are to be released in 2003. Also there should be a new Havayoth plus he's involved in another project called ION (don't think this will see the light of day this year though) He did music for some arty stuff, produces bands, has material for several albums on hold, a day job etc pp.
So......where's the "stop-praising-button"? :D
