Since these things are all the rage. You don't have to name 10. Whatever.

At The Gates - The Red In The Sky Is Ours

Intestine Baalism is melo-death? I honestly don't know, but I always under the impression that they were straight-up melodic death metal.

At the Gates - The Red in the Sky is Ours
Dissection - The Somberlain
Eucharist - A Velvet Creation
Unanimated - Ancient God of Evil
Embracing - I Bear the Burden of Time
Cardinal Sin - Spiteful Intents
Decameron - My Shadow...
Miscreant - Dreaming Ice
Crown of Thorns - Eternal Death
A Mind Confused - Anarchos

Yeah they are borderline. Some songs are straight Gothenburg (The Planet, A Knight Appears From The Lake Of Blood, The Avenger Full Of Vengeance On God) with deeper vocals. But some are definitely more in the Dismember/death metal w/ melody vein. If they don't count then I'd have to add a Skyfire album or something.

ATG - TRITSIO
Dark Tranquillity - The Galley
Dies Irae - Naive
Arsis - Celebration of Guilt
Edge of Sanity - Crimson
Amorphis - Elegy
Disillusion - back to Times of Splendour
Wintersun - Wintersun
Amon Amarth - With Oden On Our Side
Orphaned Land - Mabool

Is not melo-death just short for melodic death metal?

No...melo-death (aka Gothenburg) is a genre to describe bands that utilize Iron Maiden-esque guitar harmonies, somewhat power metal influenced leads, and even occasional use of clean vocals. Melo-death has close ties with harsh power metal (Children of Bodom, Skyfire, Norther, et al) but usually shares at least some traits with death metal.

Oh yeah, and I don't like melo-death/Gothenburg that much but for some reason I like metalcore and some cheesy, harsh power metal. I have very weird and random tastes. :p

Clarification: CoB have nothing to do with melodeath.

They're harsh power metal; a close cousin of melo-death which is what I implied in the first place. There's no clarification to be made.
