This should make some of the pain go away.

Velvet Revolver Australian Tour 2005

Feb 21 Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
Feb 23 Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Feb 26 Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
Feb 27 Melbourne Park - Vodafone Arena, Melb
Mar 2 Challenge Stadium, Perth

I'm still not really keen on the album, but will hopefully go along. :)

What??????
Adelaide hardly ever get the big gigs. You'e winging because your date doesn't fit in with a Saturday or a Friday. For fuck sake look at the time between Melborne and Perth....a high possiblity that they will be doing shit in and around melbourne more than any other city...so more oportunity for fans to meet them. Plus it isn't up to them exact days they do a show. Up to venues and local promoter.Maybe Melbourne got out bid and shone for fucking once. Why even come here at all. Australia is a big risk for a band not around for so long!

I'm pretty pumped about this. Heard the back end of an interview with Slash on MMM earlier. I'll be there with bells on.

Actually on dates, most of the international bands I've seen in the last few years have played on Fri or Sat nights.

they are crap and will never fill an arena they do club gigs in the usa so wtf is the promoter thinking? nobody wants a 90s spin on anything and thats all this band is. atleast bod played motley and la guns songs

What the fuck are you talking about Conan? "Contraband" went to No. 1 in the US didn't it? Or did I read that wrong in 'Rolling Stone'? I think the album is a bit of a disappointment and somewhat over-rated but I reckon they'd kick ass live. They might not sell out everywhere they play, but neither did the first Guns N' Roses tour, and they'll probably sell more tickets than the last Motley tour. To be honest, I didn't expect BOD to be anywhere near as successful as they were, and they sold out two nights at the Gaelic Club. That's 3/4 of the Hordern's capacity already, and Velvet Revolver are far more well known here than Brides of Destruction.

VR's tour should be huge here. My only concern is that it's quite a while since the album came out and so the mainstream interest might have wained somewhat.

They will probably sell the place out, they went number one here too I think, plus MMM will start playing them non stop about a month before they get here to hype it up.

Cyclonus, what's with that gay porn pic you've got there as your signature?! Is that your thing, or have you been stealing bandwidth again?!

Tickets for the Melbourne show are $78 or so, and the other shows something similar. I might have to wait til Friday and get a reserved seat, as I'm going with Mrs Winmar and she wouldn't be able to see anything from the floor. Has anyone been to Vodafone Arena before?
