I wonder why they left out that beautiful arpeggiation before MJR's first solo on that song (on the video)? Does anyone know? I really love that part, it fits the song like a glove and in and of itself is very beautiful.
 
Because really fast swept/tapped/whatever the hell technique it is arpeggios aren't marketable. The same is true with keyboard solos, which is why they edited that out, too. Vocal parts are marketable, so when you're making a music video (something that is made to get a more mainstream audience interested in the band, like it or not), you should probably have as many of them as possible and cut down on the instrumental interludes.
