No introduction needed! The space/thrash giants return with another great album!

Morpheus is one killer track. Only about ten spins so far, this will be in my toplist of the year, and high on it! Check out Death Proof, Earthache and Global Warning on their MySpace, now, anyways...

On a side note, Away is releasing a book with Martin Popoff, for those inuit:

Expensive, but there's no way to not order that if you're a Voivod fan!

sounds terrible, goodness gracious just let Piggys soul rest already I say. The last 2 albums are like undead albums, kinda spooky in their own way. I say the band should of stopped after Piggys death, pointless to tarnish the legacy in this ungraceful manner.

Ahh come on, man, they've been asserting this style pattern for a lot longer than the last three albums! They've been getting rockier for a long time now, and the lyrics are just as dark, but just in a different way...

I love all the Voivod records right up through The Outer Limits, but they need to just stop. Even the post-reunion Piggy albums were shockingly bad watered-down hard rock. These guys used to be one of the most innovative bands in metal, but they're just embarrassing themselves at this point.

You guys do know that they're making these albums off of already-recorded guitar parts that piggy requested they finish before he died, right? The last couple haven't been so great, but they're decent alternative rock with that same dissonance the band always had. I actually liked the Eric Forrest era (sounded like Nothingface meets Godflesh with intense vocals) as well.

To me, the final truly great Voivod album is Angel Rat; really dark, cerebral hard rock. These new tracks sound pretty good though, so I might pick this up at some point.
