I ran into this Mexican prog-death outfit out of nowhere. Only a couple weeks later, their first album has hit the streets.

This is seriously impressive stuff. I'm reminded strongly of Persefone from a musical standpoint, just not as technically focused. Other prominent similarities include TesseracT, Scar Symmetry, Soilwork, and Periphery. Cinematic strings at the beginning, a song with a Middle Eastern intro, and a 17-minute epic. Anima Tempo aren't pulling any punches.

Check it all out here. Maybe we could snag these guys next year.

Anyone who can handle djenty tones/riff stylings and experimentation needs to give this an honest shot. 4 minutes in I was buying it.

The farther in I get the more excited spaz dances I do. This is a hell of a good way to start off 2016!
