Time Symmetry- Fate in Gray: Smooth as silk traditional prog metal that just radiates warmth. Reminds me a bit of Hydrotoxin.

Axamenta- Ever Arch I Tech Ture: Light Progressive Death Metal that has a similar vibe as Lanfear's "Zero Poems. It's all over the place and *awesome.*

To-Mera- Transcendental: Female-fronted progressive metal that is going to generate some buzz once the word gets out.

Planet Alliance- Swedish melodic metal/Aor supergroup with Mike from Cloudscape & Magnus from Last Tribe leading the way. For fans of Allen/Lande.

Red Key - Rage of Fire: Crunchy Power metal with Sasha Paeth on guitar.

The upcoming Riot cd is quite solid.

Motorhead's new one is Motorhead's old one, if you know what I mean.

Blind Guardian? Not so much for me.

The new Lacrimas Profundere and Entwine are solid although less spectacular than their respective last ones.

Axel Rudi Pell releases ANOTHER solid cd and will probably go without any respect once again. I already saw one reviewer call it Hardline part II since Johnny Geoli (sp?) is singing on it. Nice review, stupid.

Vanilla Ninja is an interesting band for those into the Vixen style of the 80s. A couple great songs, lots of good songs and a bucketfull of "hot".

The To-Mera definitely has me hooked. Great album.

I've finally checked out Leaves' Eyes and am enjoying that quite a bit.

Another band I have to scrath my head and wonder why they are not signed yet is Suspyre. GREAT band and awesome tunes.

I love that Time Symmetry album.

Some other semi.. under the radar albums worth checking out.

Witchcraft - Firewood. '80s style doom metal (i.e. Sabbath), with influences from 60s-80s hard rock and.. folk rock.

From a second story window - Delenda. Various styles in the extreme area. But very good. I think most here will enjoy it.

I'm dying to get that Redkey. That's a hard little bastard to find at a decent price... I hope Zane brings a nice sized supply to ProgPower.

To-Mera also kicks ass.

Is the To-Mera available anywhere in the US yet? I enjoyed the stuff she did with Without Face.

The album will hit U.S. stores on October 3rd.

September 11 in Europe.

Any news on if it will be available to purchase at Progpower?

REDKEY-Rage Of Fire and PLANET ALLIANCE-s/t are 2 of my fave albums of 2006 so far.

REDKEY is as you said killer crunchy metal, with the excellent vox of Thomas Rettke (Heaven's Gate). In fact, it's like a new Heaven's Gate disc, as Sasha Paeth is playing guitar too. The music is heavier and darker than HG was though.

PLANET ALLIANCE is great melodic metal/hard rock, in the same style as was the ALLEN/LANDE album last year. Magnus Karlsson keeps releasing excellent albums.

I'd recommend that you check out also the TONY O'HORA-Escape Into The Sun disc. It features of course the excellent vox of O'Hora (ex-Praying Mantis) but was all written by Magnus Karlsson. THe style is the same as the Allen/Lande disc, but a bit lighter though.
