I prefer doom. Some stuff is OK but I'd take Electric Wizard over Orange Goblin anyday.

I don't know if its technically "stoner metal," probably along the lines of stoned black sludge or something, but Burning Witch is amazing and I suggest you check them out.

A much missed band - Tumuli Shroomaroom is an astounding record. Not the faintest idea what the fuck they're singing about, but then that's generally a good thing with stoner/doom

The only albums Cathedral did that were truly 'Doom' I think would have been:

Forest Of Equlibrium
In Memorium E.P.
Soul Sacrifice E.P.
and Endtyme (Still retains a slight Stoner edge to it though I think)

The rest were more stoner/Doom/Metal ....Hell their just fucking METALLLL.... Fucking sub-genres!
