Just something I think you all should be aware of:

Last night after EdGuy, I had the priviledge to speak with Andy from Brainstorm. I told him that him going up to the guy in the wheelchair was the coolest thing I've seen in a LONG time (my cousin has Spina Biffida, and is also in a chair, so I appreciate gestures such as that). Andy's response blew me away more than the act itself. He said, "If that guy is up there rocking out to my music, and can't come down to the stage, then it is my responsibility to go up there to him."

Brainstorm has a new fan for life

IMHO these guys stole the show this year just like Edguy did at PP3. They put on an absolutely awesome show and really connected with the crowd. Definitely made me an even bigger fan.

I liked these guys before but after seeing them live, I'm amazed - they tore the F - ing roof off in my opinion. SO glad I caught their set. And when I talked with Andy for a moment while getting a picture after they were done, he was just a real cool guy. These guys kick ass.

Make sure to read Deron's interview with Andy in the PP V program - very down to earth and very appreciative of the fans. He knows that if it wasn't for us, he wouldn't be able to do what he does. An attitude that is missing in way too many musicans these days across all genres. I truly believe that the character of many of the musicians that Glenn brings in every year are among the best out there.

Definetly agree. I was into these guys alitte before but they blew Earthlink apart. Andy and the guys were very cool, and really seemed blown away but the crowd's response. Leaving the stage to shake that guy's hand was awesome, and I just needed to add my two cents in about how great they were.

Agreed, one of THE coolest "band guys" I have ever had the pleasure of knowing/speaking with.
Definately. We talked to him on the way out. We told him they rocked and we'll be buying their CDs. He said something like, "Thank you guys. We couldn't do this if it weren't for people like you. This is all for you guys." Then he said, "This was worth every minute of that ten hour flight. Every minute."

He impressed us as being very genuine.

I can't more highly praise BS myself. They were simply amazing. And "tore the f-in roof off" is a complete and total UNDERSTATEMENT. They were the hurricane of PPV and kudos to Glenn for bringing them on. Tad Morose was incredible as well and I honestly didn't think anyone could top them, Urban was an incredible frontman, but Andy was awesome, one of the best frontmen I've EVER seen live and i've seen a lot of shows. His energy was immense, his voice never gave up, and the best part was you could see it in his attitude and smile that he was just overwhelmed by the response they received... and it was well deserved. I was down on the floor for all but 3 sets, and BS definitely had the loudest and most "into" crowd there. I'm still just in awe... oh and I asked him about a new cd, he said March 1st, and wouldn't give me the title but said "everyone will know in the next few days"...

Brainstorm were a surprise for me. I expected Tad Morose and Edguy to deliver - which they did. While I like Brainstorm's studio material, I wasn't prepared for the "fistful of metal" that I saw Saturday night. I really planned to watch a couple of songs and then go to the dealer's room. But I stayed for the whole hour, impressed not just by their great musical chops, but the obvious gratitude of the band. I later talked to Andy and Torsten briefly, and talking to them, I have never seen a band so deeply moved by how much they had connected with an audience. I merely told them that they had put on a great show, and they were so appreciative that I was completely blown away.

Great band, great guys - and reading that story confirms my newfound appreciation for the band.

I didn't watch this band as I don't care for that kind of metal so I'm glad everyone enjoyed them. That's really cool about the guy in the wheelchair. I also find it interesting that is the guy that totally aped some of PoS's lyrics for his other band Symphorce and now they were playing the same show back-to-back.

Dude... let it go , I spoke with Andy at the hotel and this came up ... it was a total accident and he said when he found out " a mountain fell thru my heart"
the guy don't have a malicious bone in his body... he was truly and genuinely sorry it had happened ... its been how long now?? 2 years? LET IT GO Andy is awesome as are both bands.

AND STOP FOLLOWING ME <img>

I don't have anything to let go, just mentioning the irony of the two bands being on the same bill. As far as it being an accident, uh no. Anyways it was great meeting you and hanging some. Of course I couldn't take a step without you following me, that whole shadow of Evil thing and all. :heh:

I think all of you people know that the reason we like this kind of music is for that. The fans respect the band AND the band respects the fans. If we wanted to just be cool and fit in, we could just have corporate america tell us what we should listen to and we'd all be screaming like little sissies for a no-talent to come out on stage and shake her boobs around.

Instead we support a level of higher intelligence, higher understanding, and much higher respect. The fact that the bands are generally also fans as well is what binds us all. The bands rule, Glenn rules, PPV rules, and all you metalheads rule.
