I always have thoughts in my head about having unlimited money and putting together the most ridiculous metal festival ever in which I have so much money I can even tell the artists what albums they can play from, etc. Let's have some fun with this...

My festival would be called THE END OF THE WORLD because if this ever happened I just don't know how the world would be able to carry on. The list for each day is from top to bottom.

Accept (reunion)
Yngwie Malmsteen w/ Joe Lynn Turner on vocals
W.A.S.P. (heavy representation from Headless Children and Crimson Idol)
Loudness (nothing recent, strictly old school)

Outside of day 3, there really would be no reason to keep living. Truly badass. No offense to the day 3, but outside of Kiss I truly dread the rest of those bands. I commend you on the requirement for Kiss is to play Creatures of the Night and Revenge, probably my two favorite of theirs and it's quite unfortunate they NEVER play anything off either one of those albums.

Amazing show, wish it could be real!

only things i would change would be. (in bold, and keeping the same number of bands)

IMMORTAL (for pure comedy)
Dimmu Borgir
Morbid Angel (1st four albums)
Children of Bodom
Nevermore
Amon Amarth
Arch Enemy
Satyricon
Vader
Behemoth
Dark Tranqulity
Hypocrisy

DAY 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6! - Power and the Glory (keeping same number of bands)
Sonata Arctica (with Jani back AND playing everything from the older days and ONLY "in black and white, and "flag in the ground" from the newest cds)
Blind Guardian
Helloween
Stratovarius
Gamma Ray
Edguy (entire discography)
Avantasia (play entire discography with all guests)
Running Wild
HammerFall
Iced Earth (with ripper AND barlow for the albums each sung on)
Angra
Demons & Wizards

We gotta add a Day 6:

Prog for the Pretentious:
Dream Theater
Fates Warning
Threshold
Vanden Plas
Redemption
Andromeda
Shadow Gallery
Riverside
Royal Hunt
Thought Chamber
Mindwarp Chamber

And while we are at it, if money is truly no object - we need a totally kicking ass light and pyro show like TSO has for this thing as well!

I would add in there somewhere....

Ayreon - Human Equation live, with original vocalists

Therion - Gothic Kabbalah in it's entirety, and some added classics

Haggard - Full band, doing a full set

I was thinking the same thing... now I'll be playing that song in my head all damn day! :loco::lol:

We'd have to have Aimee Mann herself do her guest vocals for that song. 'Course, with a big enough budget.....

Totally, except that I'd probably reserve a night for Ayreon and Therion alone...with Ayreon also performing Into the Electric Castle. :headbang:
