from airport to super 8?

two newbies here- flying in Thurs. evening.(your airport seems gargantuan..) Question:
does the Marta continue on anywhere near the Super 8 Atlanta Midtown (1641 Peachtree St. NE), or is it best to get off at the venue & cab it from there? and is which Marta line is it again? Gold or Orange?

Would appreciate any advice, don't want to waste too much time in the seemingly endless maze of peachtrees here:Spin:

Take MARTA to the Arts Center stop, N5 I believe it is. From there, you have about a 3/4 of a mile walk. Turn right walking out of the station. You'll pass by Center Stage. Keep walking and follow Peachtree as it turns to the left and you'll get to the Super 8. A cab would cost like nothing if you don't want to walk.

Don't worry about the line.....just get on the train at the Airport, either train. They both go North, stay on until N5. And when you get off, don't exit the terminal on the side that I believe says 'to buses' etc. You want to exit on the side where you can actually see the street/buildings from inside the terminal.

Using MARTA (Atlanta's rail and bus transportation system)
For first time attendees, transportation could not be easier. MARTA = Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority

At Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, arriving air travelers should follow the Ground Transportation signs to MARTA. The entrance to MARTA's Airport Station is located inside the western end of the airport's main terminal. Our faregates are just a few feet from the baggage claim areas. Follow the signs, they are plentiful. There is no change-over and the ride is approximately 20 minutes. Once you exit up the stairs, you will find yourself across the street from the Artmore Hotel with less than a minute walk to the venue.

Cost is $2.00 one way.

The MARTA is the best way to get up there like everyone else has said. Doesn't take very long, rates are reasonable. The Airport stop is near Baggage Claim in the airport. Just hop on the MARTA train (doesn't matter if it's the red or gold line - both go to Arts Center stop. Once you get off, you'll be on West Peachtree between 15th and 16th street. The Artmore is about one block north, Center Stage is two blocks north. Can't miss either one!

Walk up West Peachtree (past the Artmore and Center Stage) to Peachtree Street Northeast. Go left (west) for several blocks. The Super 8 will be on the right hand side. Probably 3/4 mile walk or so. 15-20 minutes.

FYI - Once you check in and want to get food/beer, etc. - keep going on Peachtree Street across the freeway. There's a Kroger's on the right hand side.
